Welcome to Dufur Quarter Horses

Dufur Quarter Horses is located East of Caddo, Oklahoma - just miles away from the Texas line. The owners of the ranch have been raising registered livestock since 1970, with a strong emphasis on performance quarter horses in the 21st Century. Portions of the ranch reflect current family ownership prior to Oklahoma Statehood (Indian Territory).

Our breeding program exhibits some of the most recognizable bloodlines in the performance horse industry today. Quiet temperament, stamina, athleticism, and sound mindness are traits we are constantly seeking as positive attributes. We strive to breed performance horses that can be used in and outside of the arena.

The daily routine of our ranch trainers is to break young horses, train rope horses, and develop barrel horses. We have horses available for all competitive levels or for ranch/pleasure use.

Our stallion lineup includes own sons of First Down Dash, Smart Little Lena, Corona Cartel, Wilywood, Frenchmans Guy, Firewater Flit, Tuf N Busy, Frostem Peppy, Captain Courage and Lone Drifter.

The broodmare band primarily consists of foundation bred mares typically broke to ride, which enables breeding predictability and sound performance traits.

Dufur Quarter Horses is proud to sponsor rodeo athletes of every level of competition from youth to PRCA. Our PRCA representation includes World Champion Header Chad Masters, NFR Reserve Average Champion and WPRA/ Resistol Rookie of the Year Jackie Ganter, and Ryan Bothum.
